Some of the people behind this website seek to remain anonymous because their involvement could jeopardize their careers. All of us are graduates of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and believe it is a critical institution that helps ensure a strong United States merchant marine. Those of us who are willing to reveal our names are listed below:
Andrew C. Simpson: Andy Simpson is a 1982 “dualie” graduate of the Academy. He sailed on both his mate and engineer licenses after graduating until the job market drove him ashore and into law school. He is an attorney with his own private law practice in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Approximately 10% of his work involves admiralty or maritime law cases.
